Whether it's Willow's addiction to magic that began after she reinsouled Angelus and steadily grew to great Darth Willow proportions, or Vamp!Willow with that fantastic leather suit - whether it's AUs where she revels in being taken by Angelus behind Buffy's back or goes away with Spike to teach Drusilla a lesson... I've just realised that not everybody who this effects is a member of  tireddarker_spike so I am reposting this here for the benefit of those who aren't.Jape's bit Wow! jans_intentions and I have noticed over the course of yesterday and today that suddenly darkness seems to have taken over the world. Are we flattered? Extremely *bounces* but we just feel we'd like to say a few things.1) We're happy that everybody wants to join in with the darker love, but as a matter of common courtesy if your comm was inspired by us then we would appreciate a link back to darker_spike. (edit 3: even if maybe you weren't even aware where the original idea came from)2) I know it's already been done today but if you want to make a comm and notice there is already one with a similar name it would probably be wise to contact the maintainer and see whether it is in the process of being set up or whether she'd like help with it. The more darker comms there are the more the readership will overlap and both might end up doing not as well. 3) We are quite happy to affiliate with any and every darker comm, but to be honest our user info is long enough as it is (note to self: rewrite it more compactly sometime). Oh I must have had a premonition that something along these lines was going to happen when I set up the_darker_ring so we will be providing a link to the_darker_ring on our user info and consider anybody who wants to join us there as part of our family.Edited: 4) Originally the_darker_ring was set up for the sole purpose of promoting the new Darker communities but with the recent surge in numbers of Darker communities I asked whether the other mods and maintainers would also like to use it as a place to get together and share experiences and resolve problems. The answer was yes so here we all are.Sexymermaid's bit Jan sends her love. (Jape says: that's it! that's all you had *head desk*) Edit 2: I've now given everyone I know for sure that was on the members list and is a mod/maintainer posting access (if I missed you then I apologise, it's 2:15am here). All posts should be made friends only unless it's a pimp for a comm. |
